Key Responsibilities in Remote Residential Property Solicitor Work

Managing your own caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, transfers of equity, new build transactions, and remortgages end-to-end. Drafting, reviewing, and amending contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements, and all related legal documentation in accordance with best practice and regulatory standards. Acting as the main point of contact for a diverse client base, providing clear and timely legal advice, updates and guidance throughout the conveyancing process. Carrying out due diligence, including title investigations, reviewing search results, raising and responding to enquiries, and identifying and resolving any issues promptly. Managing relationships with estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders, other solicitors, and third parties to ensure progress and proactive resolution of issues. Ensuring full compliance with SRA, AML, GDPR and CQS requirements, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the firm's case management system. Contributing to a positive, collaborative and knowledge-sharing remote working environment, including mentoring junior team members as required.

Essential Skills & Experience for Remote Residential Property Solicitors



Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 1 years' post-qualification experience in residential property law, but with a minimum of 3 years' conveyancing experience (indepedently fee earning transactions). Proven track record of independently managing a high-volume conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion with minimal supervision. Strong drafting and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve proactively. Confident communicator--written and verbal--with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and stakeholders remotely. IT literate, comfortable with remote working technologies and experienced with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office. Demonstrable commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance.
