This is a great opportunity for a Children's Residential Deputy Manager who is passionate about making a difference and providing a high level of care. You will be an integral part of a brand-new residential service provision at one of our new residencies in London and the South East and will play a vital role in the home's future.
You will be based in a Children's Residential Home, with excellent facilities working with children and young people with Social, Emotional, Behavioural Difficulties and Learning Disabilities. You will play a pivotal part in bringing the best out of each young person within your care whilst enhancing their social, practical, and emotional skills in preparation for their adult years.
As the Children's Residential Deputy Manager, you will assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, including providing support, guidance, and supervision to the staff team. To be successful in your application, you must be able to demonstrate knowledge of regulatory and legislative frameworks, as well as OFSTED benchmarking and inspection requirements.
Responsibilities of the Deputy Manager include:
To ensure young people receive excellent emotional and physical care levels within a home that offers a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment with a supportive staff team.
To assist the Manager to lead and manage both employees and resources to ensure high service standards are achieved within the home, exceeding regulatory standards and promoting high standards of care in line with our regulatory bodies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge around Children's homes regulations and implementation throughout the processes of the home.
Requirements of the Deputy Manager include:
-Assisting to effectively lead a team of staff to enable the highest quality of care.
-Strong experience of working in a children's home in a supervisory role.
-Reflective staff supervision, managerial and communication skills
-Excellent Ofsted regulatory knowledge
-Ensure support and guidance within all Ofsted inspections.
- Must have Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
-Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Preferred)
