Bank staff for a new residential home, with regular shifts, Permanent role after the 6 months probation period.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance to children and young people in a caring environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development, wellbeing, and daily needs of those under their care. Responsibilities

Assist children with daily activities, including personal care and mobility support. Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs. Support children in participating in educational, recreational, and social activities. Maintain clear communication with colleagues, families, and external professionals regarding progress and concerns. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times. Assist with transportation as required, including driving children to appointments or activities. Record observations and update care documentation accurately and promptly. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through supportive interactions.

Experience

Previous experience working with children or within childcare settings is highly desirable. Level 3/4 Health and Social care is desirable. Knowledge of child development principles and safeguarding procedures. Experience with creating or following care plans is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with children, families, and team members. IT literacy skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation. Driving experience is preferred; valid driving licence is essential for roles involving transportation.
