We have opening for A Children's homes in LE3 New Parks area. Our Children's Home are a residential Homes for children regulated by

Ofsted

, for children with the needs for Emotional, Behavioural Disorder respectively.

Purpose of the Role



To provide consistent, trauma-informed, and child-centred care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will help create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment that supports their emotional development, behavioural regulation, and long-term outcomes.

Key Responsibilities



Build trusting, supportive relationships with children who have experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse. Provide consistent emotional and practical support tailored to each young person's individual care plan. Promote a safe and structured environment, establishing routines and clear boundaries. Use de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches to manage challenging behaviours. Support children in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and resilience. Assist in daily routines, including meal preparation, household tasks, and personal care (where appropriate). Encourage attendance and participation in education, therapy, and structured activities. Organise and participate in recreational, therapeutic, and developmental activities both in and outside the home. Accurately record incidents, daily logs, key working sessions, and behavioural observations. Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals. Be a strong advocate for the child's voice and best interests. Participate in sleep-in duties, shift handovers, and team meetings.

Essential Requirements



Experience working with children and young people with EBD or in a residential care setting. Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and attachment theory. Ability to stay calm, assertive, and compassionate during crises. Strong communication, teamwork, and boundary-setting skills. Flexible approach to working hours, including nights, weekends, and emergencies. Flexibility to work at another location within 5-6 miles radius.
