Silver Springs Support Ltd

currently have opportunities for Support Workers to join our support team at our residential homes in Milford Haven and Johnston. These are small, personalised homes (a maximum of 5 and 4 residents respectively), with generous staffing levels at all times.

Experience in the health and social care sector isn't necessary as we will provide a full induction programme with ongoing training and support.

We have both Full and Part Time hours available.

Silver Springs Support Ltd

provide support predominantly for individuals with a Learning Disability and/or Autism. Our person-centred approach enables individuals to live within their own home, increasing their independence, promoting decision making and ability to actively participate in their local community.

Responsibilities of a Residential Support Worker:



Your role will be to support people in their daily lives, and this can include personal care of either gender to their assessed needs. Personal care may involve assisting people to take a bath or shower, going to the toilet and take or manage their own medication Provide care and support to residents working towards outcomes and meeting goals as part of living a fulfilled life. You will be expected to read and follow comprehensive assessments and service delivery plan Provide input into assessments and service delivery plans Provide support, including (but not limited to) help with personal care, budgeting, shopping, cleaning, cooking, gardening, laundry, and assistance with medication You will also support in engaging in social activities and assisting the person to maintain relationships with family and friends and being active in their community. Trips to the theatre, Folly Farm, the cinema and lunch out with family and/or friends are regular parts of our activity programmes. Maximise and promote everyone's independence, choice, dignity, and privacy To provide support in all daily living activities to suit the needs and wishes of the individuals, keeping them healthy and safe

We are looking for someone who:



Is committed to supporting people to live lifestyles of their choosing Can work as part of a team Demonstrates positive values Promotes and maintains independence, choice, and respect Has the ability to work to a high standard on their own initiative and as part of a larger team Is willing to go the extra mile Can maintain confidentiality and shows professionalism in their work A QCF or NVQ 2/3 in Care, or another relevant field is desirable but not essential Registration with Social Care Wales or willing to complete the registration within the specified timescale Holds a full UK driving licence

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure which will be completed upon successful application and 2 satisfactory references being obtained. All applications will be dealt with on an individual basis in accordance with our policy and organisational requirements.

The hours of work will be covering a shift pattern so may include Bank Holidays, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and, very occasionally, waking nights.
