Meadows Care is proud to be a residential provider with an excellent reputation supporting young people who may have emotional difficulties, challenging behaviour and other needs. The setting adopts a child centred approach and actively promote children's rights and on-going therapeutic care. Management deliver their service in safe, personalised, small group care which promotes the children's welfare.



We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Meadows Care. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting young individuals with complex needs, helping them navigate their daily challenges while fostering their personal development.



Residential Support Worker we require:



Minimum one year working with children/young adults in the education or care sector (essential)



Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent (essential)



A full UK driving licence (desirable)



The Residential Home can accommodate children up to 18 years of age. Our homes are 3 or 4 bedded.



We offer a contract of 180 hours per month up to an extended contract of 234 hours per month. The majority of the shifts are 24 hours and include a sleep-in.



Responsibilities



Provide direct support to young people in a residential setting. Assist in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs. Foster positive relationships with young people to encourage trust and communication. Monitor and document the progress of each young person, reporting any concerns to the management team. Engage young people in therapeutic activities that promote personal growth and well-being. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a consistent approach to care.

Requirements



Experience working with children or young people in a care setting is essential. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with young individuals and team members. Ability to drive is preferred but not mandatory for all roles. Knowledge of care planning processes and best practices in childcare is advantageous. A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals.
