Salary: 14.00 - 15.50 per hour, plus 60 per sleep-in
Harmonia House is on the lookout for a passionate Residential Therapeutic Practitioner to join our new therapeutic SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision in Edgware. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a dedicated clinical team to create a nurturing and supportive home for children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
About the Role:
As a Residential Therapeutic Practitioner, you'll play a pivotal role in providing emotional and therapeutic support to vulnerable young people, ensuring they have opportunities to reach their full potential and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Positive Engagement:
Promote good relationships and encourage achievement among young people, providing a positive role model and maintaining professional standards.
Routine and Boundaries:
Maintain routines, limits, and boundaries, encouraging understanding of actions and consequences and the importance of positive relationships.
Educational Support:
Support educational development, stay informed on educational matters, and contribute to the development of opportunities.
Key Worker Role:
Act as a key worker for individual young people, supporting the implementation of their care plans and contributing to reviews and planning processes.
Daily Programmes and Activities:
Contribute to the development of programmes and plans, and participate in social, recreational, and educational activities.
Collaboration:
Liaise with parents and partner agencies, ensuring the best interests of young people are promoted.
Record Keeping:
Maintain necessary records timely and to a high standard.
Professional Development:
Stay informed about the latest practices, policies, and legislative developments, and continuously improve personal performance.
