We are seeking a project-based Resourcing Partner to join Laing O'Rourke's in-house Resourcing Team, supporting the delivery of the UK's Great Grid Upgrade. Based in Birmingham, with occasional nationwide travel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the right talent is in place to deliver critical infrastructure projects that support the UK's transition to cleaner, greener energy.



This is a hands-on recruitment role, managing a high-volume, multi-disciplinary vacancy portfolio, where your ability to proactively source, headhunt, and attract top talent will directly influence project success.

The Role:

Take ownership of a high-volume recruitment portfolio, delivering end-to-end hiring across mobilisation, delivery, and demobilisation phases. Proactively source, headhunt, and engage top-tier talent to meet project needs. Partner with project and functional leaders to forecast and plan resourcing requirements. Design and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high-quality candidates. Continuously enhance recruitment processes to improve efficiency and candidate experience.

Skills & Experience:

We are looking for a proactive, organised recruitment professional with strong intuition and a delivery mindset. You will ideally have:


Hands-on experience managing a high-volume, multi-disciplinary recruitment portfolio in the power, construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors. Proven ability to proactively source and headhunt top talent. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility. A detail-focused and adaptable approach to managing competing priorities. High emotional intelligence and a passion for delivering best-practice recruitment.
