At Sheffield Forgemasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Resourcing Specialist to join our team, on an 18 months fixed term contract.


This role is based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield. Our People & Culture department supports the organisation with workforce engagement, development, and organisational culture alongside Talent Acquisition & Recruitment, Learning & Development, Reward & Recognition and Employee Relations. This role is working in our Talent Acquisition & Recruitment workstream.


As a Resourcing Specialist, you will support all recruitment activity, ensuring that Sheffield Forgemasters have the right people, with the right skills, available at the right time to deliver our business goals.

What you'll be doing

Drafting and posting job ads. Contributing to social media activity and other talent attraction methods. Conducting telephone interviews / assessment centres to assess candidate suitability against role requirements. Supporting with all interview stages. Support with coaching and training hiring managers. Assisting with the new starter onboarding process. Raising purchase orders for any 3rd party spend.

About You

Previous experience working in a fast-paced inhouse or agency resourcing role. Experience working in Engineering or Manufacturing sectors is an advantage, but not essential. Proficient in using MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with the ability to communicate at all levels. Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.

The Working Pattern

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We offer flexibility in our start and finish times between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00.

Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check. Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. People working with government / MOD assets must complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks.

These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 - 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
