We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Responsible individual to over see the running of our children's homes and ensure the delivery of exceptional care in line with the relevant legislation and regulations
Job Purpose:
The Post Holder will be an Ofsted registered Nominated Individual for the business and will provide Service Management to the Residential Children's Home's.
To provide effective leadership and management of the Business to a high standard whilst ensuring consistent care and service is maintained in accordance with legislation, central government guidance, regulations and standards, and the policies and procedures.
To provide a lead in the decisions and management of the Business and to liaise with partners in implementing collectively agreed plans to ensure a coordinated approach regarding services for children and young people.
Main Responsibilities and Key result areas
1. To develop and establish provision for care, accommodation and support through working with existing partners and building links with other partners and agencies as appropriate.
2. To provide oversight and support of all care/placement planning for Looked After Young People and to ensure safeguarding/risk assessments are reviewed periodically in line with a Looked After Child's care plan.
3. Be responsible for reporting business development , to ensure that it fulfils its Statement of Purpose and function and is run in accordance with statute and the Business policies, guidelines and instructions.
4. To ensure continued compliance of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 (amended 2011 and 2014), Children's Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000 and Quality Standards, including the monitoring of staff under Regulation 33 and Regulation 44 inspections of a Children's Home.
5. Ensuring Lavender the business is Ofsted compliant in preparation for Ofsted Inspections.
6. To oversee continued professional development of all staff.
7. To provide support to the Children's Home's Manger as and when required.
8. To identify and implement business development with Local Authorities and other agencies.
9. To ensure financial budgets are compliant with Children's Homes regulations 2001 (amended 2011/14), and Ofsted's inspection frameworks.
10. Ensure young people are effectively safeguarded.
11. Ensure that electronic and paper administration systems are current, appropriate and meet due diligence process. To ensure that information is accurately recorded, and that data is provided by Registered Managers in line with confidentiality and GDPR process.
12. Ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided for all staff.
13. To support the selection and recruitment process of all staff. To have oversight of Human Resources procedures, ensuring correct application of such is maintained to include Induction, Discipline, Capability and Grievance procedures.
14. To contribute to and where appropriate participate in projects and initiatives associated with your role.
15. To ensure the needs of young people are identified and met through encouraging communication and participation.
16. To participate in relevant trainings and meetings as required by the Directors.

Qualifications/Experience
Proven management and supervisory experience in care settings
Previously Registered as a responsible Individual for a Residential childrens Home
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development
Experience in Childrens Residential Care Home
Must meet Regulation 26, childrens Home Regulation 2015
Full UK Driving License Essential
