to provide strategic oversight and governance across multiple children's residential homes between Staffordshire and Manchester

About the Role
As the
Responsible Individual
, you will be accountable for ensuring each home operates to the highest standards of care, compliance, and effectiveness. Working alongside Registered Managers, you'll ensure services meet regulatory expectations and embed a culture of continuous improvement and child-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and governance across multiple residential homes
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015
Guide and support Registered Managers in delivering outstanding care
Oversee safeguarding policy implementation and practice
Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections, aiming for "Good" or "Outstanding" ratings
Promote continuous quality improvement and operational efficiency
Manage staffing levels, budgets, and resources effectively
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulators
Lead on training, development, and performance management of staff teams
What You'll Need
Proven senior leadership experience in children's residential care (minimum 3 years preferred)
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding frameworks
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
A commitment to putting children and young people at the heart of every decision
