Job Description

A respected provider of therapeutic residential services for children and young people is seeking a Responsible Individual (RI) to oversee the strategic and regulatory management of two new Ofsted-registered children's homes located in Raynes Park and New Malden. Each home supports young people aged 8-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

About the Homes:

Raynes Park: Two adjacent 3-bed children's homes New Malden: One 3-bed children's home specializing in EBD Locations are approximately 15 minutes apart by car or public transport
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and all legal obligations related to registration, operation, and governance of children's homes. Provide strategic leadership and effective supervision to Registered Managers (RMs). Monitor the quality of care against the Statement of Purpose, Children's Guide, and individual care plans. Develop a comprehensive understanding of each child's needs, including their Care Plans and EHC Plans, through regular visits and meaningful engagement. Evaluate performance through Regulation 44 and 45 reports, as well as Ofsted inspection outcomes and local authority feedback. Drive continuous improvement by implementing and monitoring robust development plans for each home. Oversee recruitment, induction, training, and performance management of staff, ensuring full compliance with safeguarding and CPD requirements. Support partnership-building with key external stakeholders and maintain effective placement matching processes. Ensure homes are prepared for Ofsted inspections at all times and that administrative systems are accurate and up to date.
