Duties
Oversee the day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring smooth operations during shifts
Supervise and motivate bar staff, including training and performance management
Organise staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage during busy periods
Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality at all times
Manage stock levels, including ordering supplies and minimising wastage
Ensure all food and beverage preparation meets quality standards and complies with food safety regulations
Oversee food preparation and cooking when necessary, ensuring consistency and presentation
Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards across the bar area, including kitchen spaces if applicable
Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently
Implement promotional activities to increase sales and customer engagement
Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally within a bar or similar setting
Supervising experience with team management skills
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety procedures
Experience in food production and kitchen operations is desirable
Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards such as serving, culinary practices, and hotel experience is advantageous
Barista experience or background in serving beverages is beneficial
Good understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
