Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic

SUPERVISOR

to oversee the daily operations of a newly refurbed pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality and restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving sales, maintaining high standards of quality, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including staff management, stock control, and customer service excellence. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with health and safety standards. Ensure responsible serving of alcohol in accordance with licensing laws and company policies. Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints professionally, and foster a welcoming environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service alongside beverage offerings.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably in a bar setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations applicable to hospitality establishments. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods. Previous experience in hotel or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential. Demonstrated ability to handle customer service issues professionally while maintaining high standards of hospitality.
