To oversee the daily operations of our takeaway restaurant, ensuring efficient service, compliance with all food hygiene and health & safety regulations, effective staff management, and consistent delivery of high?quality food and customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, organise and manage the daily operations of the fast?food takeaway to ensure smooth running and profitability.
Lead and supervise staff including cooks, kitchen assistants, and front?of?house team; conduct training, allocate duties, and manage rotas.
Implement and monitor food hygiene, health and safety, and licensing regulations to ensure full compliance with UK standards.
Oversee stock control and supply chain management: order supplies, manage inventory levels, minimise waste, and negotiate with suppliers.
Monitor quality of food preparation and service standards to maintain consistency and meet customer expectations.
Develop and update menus or product offerings in line with business strategy and customer feedback.
Handle customer service issues and resolve complaints efficiently to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Monitor financial performance: prepare sales reports, manage budgets, and identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs.
Recruit, appraise and discipline staff in line with company policies and employment law.
Liaise with owners or directors on operational targets, marketing initiatives, and compliance requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience managing a restaurant, cafe, or catering establishment (ideally 2+ years).
Knowledge of UK food safety standards and licensing regulations.
Ability to lead a team in a fast?paced environment.
