We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant functions. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a vital part in creating a welcoming environment for guests while supporting the management team to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts
Supervise and motivate team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and baristas, fostering a positive work environment
Support food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper food production procedures
Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table utilisation
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Assist in training new staff members on service standards and operational procedures
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of supplies
Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the restaurant, including kitchen areas and dining spaces
Support the management team in implementing promotional activities and special events
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, serving, and hospitality roles
Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
Culinary experience or background in cooking is highly desirable
Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent communication skills
Familiarity with kitchen operations, food presentation, and customer service excellence
