Palmers Garden Centre is part of the Palmers Group, an established family business located in Yeovil.
This role supports the catering management team as well as the front of house team and would suit someone who has performed in a similar supervisory role with front of house experience. This role will lead by example and is essential in ensuring our team offer a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while providing exceptional service.
The ideal candidates will have a vocational qualification in food preparation with a passion for food safety, possessing the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. Strong time management skills are essential, contributing to the smooth operation of our front-of-house activities.

Responsibilities:
Opening and closing Restaurant (non-key holder)
Lead and support the team during service, ensuring smooth operations
Deliver and maintain great customer service, encouraging a 'customer first' culture
Handle customer feedback professionally and positively
Ensure health & safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
Support with staff training, rotas, and daily briefings
Assist with stock control, ordering, and cash handling procedures
Requirements:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a hospitality setting.
Confident leading a team in a fast-paced environment
Passionate about hospitality and delivering top-tier customer service
Strong communication and organisational skills
A hands-on, team-player attitude
Minimum Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate
The position will be a 6/4 day alternate working week with no evening work. A share of all tips will be given, along with free staff meal and drinks during the shift. A generous employee discount is provided for use across the Palmers Group. On-site parking available.
