Duty Manager
to support daily operations and uphold the high standards that make Rio unforgettable.
Position Overview:
The
Duty Manager
plays a key leadership role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the restaurant. You will serve as the manager on the floor, coordinating front- and back-of-house teams, addressing guest needs, maintaining service quality, and ensuring staff accountability -- all while keeping the energy, pace, and hospitality Rio is known for.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Floor Leadership
Oversee daily shift operations, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently during service.
Act as the point of contact for all guest-facing issues and team concerns when senior managers are not present.
Maintain a visible presence on the floor to lead by example, support staff, and engage guests.
Guest Experience & Service Standards
Ensure every guest receives warm, professional, and consistent service throughout their visit.
Proactively resolve guest complaints or service issues with discretion and urgency.
Monitor pace of service and guest satisfaction, taking action to correct any service gaps.
Team Coordination & Support
Supervise and support front-of-house and bar teams during service.
Collaborate closely with the kitchen to ensure timing, accuracy, and quality of food delivery.
Assist with staff briefings, floor plans, and section assignments before each shift.
Training & Performance Oversight
Provide on-the-job coaching and support to team members to ensure adherence to Rio's standards.
Monitor staff performance and communicate feedback to senior management.
Help onboard and train new hires, reinforcing Rio's brand, culture, and expectations.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service regulations.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized restaurant environment throughout each shift.
Complete daily operational checklists and reports as required.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Experience managing guest complaints and service recovery professionally.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and alcohol compliance regulations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and commitment to a great guest experience.
