Duties

Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude. Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring all details are captured correctly. Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience. Process payments swiftly and accurately, handling cash and card transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables and service stations. Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience. Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service efficiency.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Strong guest services skills with a friendly disposition. Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively. Culinary knowledge or experience in food preparation is an advantage. A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues in both front-of-house and kitchen roles.
