Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager

Responsibility to oversees daily operations, including managing staff, inventory, budgets, and customer satisfaction to ensure profitability and compliance with health and safety standards. Key responsibilities involve staff leadership through hiring, training, and scheduling; meticulous inventory management and cost control; maintaining high standards of food quality and service; handling customer service issues; and developing marketing strategies to improve the business's performance.

Responsibilities



Staff Management & Leadership

Hiring and Training:

Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff members, then provide ongoing training on customer service and operational procedures.
Operational Oversight

Daily Operations:

Manage all aspects of daily operations, from opening and closing the restaurant to ensuring seamless coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

Inventory and Suppliers:

Monitor stock levels, order necessary food and supplies, and cultivate strong relationships with suppliers.

Food Quality and Safety:

Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene, health, and safety regulations, and maintain consistent food and service quality.
Financial & Business Performance

Budgeting and Cost Control:

Develop budgets, track expenses, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to reduce waste and control costs.

Reporting:

Prepare detailed financial reports on revenue, expenses, and other key performance indicators.

Marketing and Sales:

Develop and implement marketing strategies, such as promotions and events, to attract customers and drive sales.
Customer Experience

Customer Satisfaction:

Ensure excellent customer service, handle customer complaints efficiently, and respond to online reviews to improve guest satisfaction.

Menu Planning:

Collaborate with the head chef to plan menus, develop specials, and sometimes contribute to wine list development.

Scheduling and Motivation:

Create work schedules and motivate staff to foster a positive and efficient work environment.

Performance and Conflict Resolution:

Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and manage and resolve conflicts within the team.

Skills



Strong hospitality skills especially food related with a focus on customer satisfaction Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a requirement Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations Culinary skills for food preparation tasks Proficient in basic math for handling transactions accurately Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience A single minded approach to accept nothing but the very best
