Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and customer service skills, ensuring that every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience. This role requires an active presence on the floor, close collaboration with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency.

This is a full-time position (40-hour contract per week), requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to all health, safety, and food hygiene standards. Lead, train, and motivate staff across all departments: including servers, hosts, baristas, and kitchen teams to deliver outstanding hospitality and service. Manage reservations and guest bookings using the Design My Nightsystem, ensuring accurate table management and a seamless guest experience. Support the kitchen team in maintaining food quality, consistency, and presentation standards. Manage scheduling and shift planning to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours. Monitor inventory and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels without overages or waste. Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring positive resolutions and continuous improvement in service delivery. Collaborate with the chef and culinary team to plan and execute menu updates, seasonal specials, and promotional events. Maintain compliance with all local regulations regarding food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety. Ensure financial performance goals are supported through effective cost control, waste reduction, and upselling initiatives. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, recognising achievements and addressing performance issues constructively.
