We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to support manager to oversee daily operations within a small award winning restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality and leading a motivated team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for culinary arts, team management, and hospitality to contribute to the ongoing success of our establishment. The position is paid and ideal for candidates with a strong background in restaurant or hotel management. Wine and bar knowledge an advantage but full training provided for the right candidate. Monthly share of gratuities.
Restaurant working hours may vary depending of seasons (however closed Monday and Tuesday all year). Christmas day and Boxing day closed.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts
Oversee food delivery to customers, ordering, bar and barista
Train and motivate staff, including serving personnel, fostering a positive team environment
Ability to delegate tasks effectively and monitor performance to optimise productivity
Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
Collaborate with culinary staff on menu planning for tasting wines
Uphold hospitality standards by creating welcoming atmospheres and ensuring excellent service delivery
General in house cleaning
Experience
Bar and barista experience.
Wine knowledge and willingness to learn
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong team management skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Familiarity with culinary techniques, food production processes, and kitchen operations
Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or bars is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and storage, alcohol sales and law guidelines
