Overview

We are seeking a London based, experienced and skilled Restoration Technician for water and fire damage to join our team.

Working for insurers and claims handling companies, we survey and restore properties affected by fires, flooding and escape of water. We then carry out strip out works, install equipment and carry out update visits until we can sign off jobs as complete.

We also do assessments, mould treatments, and some decontamination work.

This job is for experienced restoration technicians already working in the field only.

You will most likely be a qualified BDMA or IICRC trained technician, and be able to work in our coverage area which is from Oxford in the west, to Kent/Essex in the east, and from Guildford in the south to Bedford in the north. We current have a team of 5 technicians working and are expanding.

Prior experience using claims management and scoping software such as corelogic/symbility, scoper etc will be a big plus.

Responsibilities

Assess and document the extent of damage to properties. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for strip outs. Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes. Conduct fire damage restoration, including cleaning and repairing structures. Remediate mould issues by following safety protocols and guidelines. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Communicate effectively with clients regarding the restoration process and progress.

Qualifications

Proven experience working in restorations is essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good physical fitness, as the role may require lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods. A valid driving licence and the ability to pass a DBS check are both requirements.
