Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, optimising restaurant performance, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and employees.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the restaurant team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth. Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies. Coordinate food preparation and service, maintaining high standards in food production and presentation. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations without excess waste. Develop and implement training programmes for staff in areas such as cooking, food preparation, and customer service. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to enhance guest satisfaction. Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and budgeting, to ensure profitability of the restaurant. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Skills

Proven experience in team management within the hospitality or restaurant sector. Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on motivating staff and promoting teamwork. Knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques is essential. Familiarity with food hygiene practices is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to interact positively with both guests and team members. A background in business management or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
