Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires effective team management, strategic sales planning, and a keen eye for merchandising to drive store performance and enhance the customer experience.

Duties

Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise revenue and profitability. Oversee inventory management, including stock control, ordering, and merchandising to ensure optimal product availability. Conduct regular staff training sessions to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills. Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports on sales trends, inventory levels, and employee performance. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as health and safety regulations. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional development. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in multilingual or bilingual capabilities being advantageous. Demonstrated experience in sales management, merchandising, time management, and organisational skills. Familiarity with administrative tasks related to retail operations including scheduling, reporting, and inventory management is preferred. A background in customer service with strong phone etiquette is highly desirable.
