Painshill Park Trust is a charity which protects and restores a stunning award-winning 18th century landscape in the heart of Cobham, Surrey. Our objectives are to preserve and restore the landscape as closely as possible to its original concept and ensure its gifts are shared and accessible to all. Painshill is looking for an organised, friendly and passionate Retail Manager.
Painshill has reached a stage in its evolution where the Trust are now planning for the next stage in its growth. The challenges to be met include developing the Retail experience to ensure the highest quality in all that is undertaken. The Retail Manager is a key role in the structure of Painshill working closely with Head of Visitor and Commercial Operations to oversee the retail delivery.
You'll own responsibility for Painshill's shop; maximising sales through sourcing products, creating merchandise displays and liaising with suppliers, whilst delivering a high standard of customer care on a daily basis alongside the Duty Management team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience of working in a retail sector and a passion for high standards across all areas.
You will be comfortable working independently and as a key player in working groups, with a proven ability for building effective internal and external relationships and a strong customer-focused approach.
