We are recruiting for a Retail Manager to work at our store. The job description is as follows :

- Plan, organise, direct and co-ordinate the operations in order to maximise business performance and meet financial goals.

Entry requirements of this job:

- Preferably holding a business management qualification or/and has at least 5 years experience in the retail sector preferably in Sri Lanka/India

- Must have experience/knowledge regarding spices, rice, sweets sold in Sri Lanka/India

- Preferably have the ability to speak, write and read Sinhalese or Hindi

Tasks required by this job include:

liaises with other staff to provide information about stock, special promotions etc. to customers;

ensures that adequate reserves of that stock keeping is carried out efficiently;

contacts wholesalers/suppliers in Sri Lanka and India regarding stock/food items to be ordered;

ensures customer complaints and queries regarding service are appropriately handled;

oversees the maintenance of financial and other records and controls security arrangements for the premises;

authorises payment for supplies received;

examines quality of stock and ensures that effective use is made of advertising and display facilities

Handling of cash and serving customers when required

Salary and Working Hours

23000 - 27000.00 depending on experience

Day/Night shift - 40 hours per week
