The role:

The role will be based at the Shepherd and Woodward shop working across the 5 in-store departments and have the ability to regularly accommodate working Monday to Saturday and the occasional Sunday.

The Retail Sales Assistant will take customers through the entire shopping process. You will need to provide excellent customer service with detailed knowledge of products and brands.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Being attentive to customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs so you can provide excellent customer service and deal with enquiries.
• Processing cash and card payments
• Handling product returns and payment refund requests
• Reporting any inventory or service issues to management
• Promoting products based on the company\xe2\x80\x99s directives
• Arranging products on the shelves and on promotional displays (Merchandising)
• Unpacking and sorting new stock delivery
• Managing product inventory at the store and giving accurate feedback to Buyer (for example, which products are selling well)
• To independently oversee stock, movement and maintain stock list and replenish as necessary.

The Candidate:

• Successful applicants will demonstrate a helpful, enthusiastic nature and thrive on working in a busy shop floor environment.
• Applicants will also show a pleasant manner and enjoy dealing with the public, replenishing of stock and general housekeeping.
• Experience is preferred but not essential, enthusiasm and character is more important than experience as full training will be given.
• Excellent people skills with ability to work well with a team
• Drive to succeed
• Proficiency in using a point-of-sale system (POS) would be an advantage
