We're looking for part-time Retail Sales/Box Office Assistants to join our team, to be the face of our business, delivering exceptional customer service to guests visiting the Elvis Evolution Merchandise Store/Box Office.
In this role, you'll be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers visiting both the Elvis Evolution Merchandise Store and Box Office, assisting with their enquiries and advising on our product range. You'll also process sales, replenish stock and check in any deliveries which arrive in store. We'll look to you to maintain the highest of retail standards and to keep the store looking tidy and ensure that all products are well presented. You'll also process tickets sales and check-in guests as they enter the experience.
This is a fantastic role for someone with excellent communication and teamwork skills, who has the ability to take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers.
We'll be partnering with Elvis Evolution to deliver their retail operations and box office service. Elvis Evolution is a brand new, first of its kind experience from Layered Reality, the UK's leading immersive specialists, celebrating the life and work of Elvis Presley. This role is an exciting opportunity to join us at the start of this partnership and be part of the set-up of our new Merchandise Store. We're a new and growing business and this role will give the right candidate the opportunity to develop and progress their career within retail operations.
What you'll do:
Work as part of our Store/Box Office team to create a fun and friendly environment
Welcome customers and deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring our customers have an enjoyable and memorable experience
Process ticket sales and check-in guests as they enter the experience
Advise on our product range - assisting customers with enquiries, providing product information and offering assistance with purchases
Respond efficiently to till queues to ensure customer satisfaction at all times
Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of our products - stay informed about promotions, offers, and new arrivals to share with customers
Process sales - operating the till, processing transactions accurately, and handling payments
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the store, including stock replenishment, arranging and maintaining product displays and ensuring all areas of the store are well presented and inviting for our customers to shop
Meet high standards of display and visual merchandising helping customers find what they're looking for easily
Ensure all deliveries which arrive in store are checked in and stored promptly and correctly
Be open to customer feedback, and use it constructively to continually improve the store operation
Manage and oversee the management of stock, completing audits and maintaining the stock room as needed
Follow health, safety and security procedures, and play a role in preventing stock loss
Understand the store opening and closing procedure and be confident to operate the store without a Supervisor present
Continuously identify opportunities to make improvements which will optimise the operational running of the store, feeding ideas back to your wider team so you can implement solutions together
This role would suit people who have/are:
Previous experience working in a retail sales assistant or customer service role
A passion for retail and delivering great customer service
Friendly, approachable and have a proactive attitude
Background in performing arts desirable but not essential
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues. You'll be required to talk to customers, make small talk and make them feel welcome within the store environment
The ability to take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers
The ability to prioritise and multitask well in a fast-paced environment
A positive approach to change and problem solving
Good visual merchandising skills and an eye for detail
Flexible and adaptable to business needs and comfortable to pitch in and take ownership for tasks that may go beyond the role expectation
The flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and bank holidays as required
