The Role: Retrofit Assessor

As a Retrofit Assessor, you will take responsibility for assessing properties for measures, help prepare designs and help deliver retrofit projects in line with PAS 2035 standards and other relevant industry frameworks. Working closely with clients and other admin staff you will ensure that every project achieves its energy performance goals.

You will be the cornerstone of our retrofit delivery team, overseeing the tecnical aspects and helping to plan the installation.,

Key Responsibilities



Retrofit Assessment: Undertake or oversee whole-house assessments, identifying improvement measures and preparing comprehensive retrofit strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, contractors, residents, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance: Carry out site visits, inspections, and audits to verify that work meets required standards and is completed to the highest quality.

Compliance & Reporting: Maintain detailed project records and produce reports for clients and regulatory bodies as required.

Continuous Improvement: Review project outcomes and contribute to the development of best practices for future retrofits.

Assist in designing retrofit measures- heat loss calculations, solar PV designs and insulation plans.

Person Specification



We are seeking a proactive, organised, and knowledgeable Retrofit Assessor who is ready to step up and play a key role in the UK's transition to a low-carbon future. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Qualifications: Level 3 in retro fit assessment.

Level 3 in domestic energy assessment.

Experience: Track record of surveying for building retrofit, refurbishment, or energy efficiency projects. Experience working within the PAS 2035 framework is a strong advantage.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building physics, energy performance, and retrofit measures (e.g., insulation, heating upgrades, ventilation improvements, renewables integration).

Project Management Skills: Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and skilled in project planning, budget management, and resource allocation.

Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to guide, inform, and inspire a wide range of audiences, from contractors to residents.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify barriers, propose practical solutions, and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

IT Literacy: Competence in project management software, MS Office, and digital reporting tools.

Commitment: Passion for sustainability, energy efficiency, and making a positive difference in the built environment.
