Job Advert

Are you an experienced Revenue Controller looking for your next move?

Here at Bidwells, we're on a journey to double our revenue by 2030 - and our Finance team is central to making that happen.

As part of this exciting growth, we're looking for an experienced Revenue Controller to join us at our head office in Trumpington, Cambridge.

Our Finance team plays a vital role in supporting the firm's strategic, operational and commercial goals, and this is a hands-on role where you'll build strong relationships across the firm, provide guidance on finance processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

You'll also support ad hoc tasks and team cover, making you an integral part of our collaborative and high-performing Finance team.

In this position, there will be an element of occasional travel to our Perth office based in Scotland around twice per year.

What you'll be doing:

Onboarding New Jobs

Validating and approving new job requests in the system. Reviewing terms of business, engagement letters and contracts. Liaising with Job Leads/Admins to resolve queries preventing job approval.

Job & Portfolio Management

Conducting regular job portfolio reviews with assigned teams. Flagging jobs with work in progress lacking sufficient order book coverage. Managing team inbox, processing write-offs, time transfers and job closures.

Timesheet & Consultant Time Management

Reviewing weekly timesheet reports and following up on missing entries. Overseeing time entry for external consultants.

Billing

Validating and processing invoice requests, ensuring correct WIP allocation. Confirming billing entity matches client or noting rationale for discrepancies. Ensuring professional invoice narratives and flagging inconsistencies. Checking job leads and resources are not on the missing time report.

Business Interaction & Support

Building relationships with Team Leaders, Job Leads and Admins. Handling job and billing queries whilst offering guidance on NetSuite processes. Supporting sales ledger queries and contributing to training materials in NetSuite Hub.

Ad Hoc Support

Providing cover for billing, timesheet reports, mailbox management and team absences. Assisting the Finance Operations Manager and supporting data corrections as needed.
