We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate NIGHTS Registered General Nurse (RGN) / Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in various settings including hospitals, clinics, assisted living facilities, and community care environments. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to develop personalized care plans. Administer medications accurately, including injections and IV infusions, following strict aseptic techniques and medication protocols. Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, wound dressing changes, and tube feeding with precision and adherence to safety standards. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Manage acute pain and chronic conditions through evidence-based interventions while monitoring patient responses closely. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, discharge planning, and long-term care strategies tailored to individual needs. Provide triage assessments in urgent care or emergency room settings to prioritize patient needs efficiently. Support patients with complex conditions such as dementia or developmental disabilities by applying specialized memory care techniques and behavioral health strategies. Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper sterile processing, aseptic techniques, and specimen collection procedures. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics including medication management, nutrition, post-operative care, and disease prevention. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards to protect patient confidentiality. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in medical imaging, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and other relevant clinical practices.

Qualifications

Valid registration as an RGN or RMN with current practicing license. Proven experience in diverse healthcare environments such as hospital medicine, critical care units (ICU/CCU), emergency medicine, or long-term care facilities. Demonstrated proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to nursing practice. Experience administering injections, IV insertions/infusions, catheterization procedures, and wound suturing. Familiarity with advanced clinical skills including ventilator management, dialysis support, ostomy care, gastrostomy feeding, and infectious disease protocols. Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations effectively. Excellent communication skills for patient assessment discussions and interdisciplinary collaboration. Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases is advantageous. Additional preferred skills include experience with pediatric or neonatal ventilators, hospice & palliative medicine practices, trauma medicine (Level I & II trauma centers), behavioral health support techniques, laboratory experience including specimen processing or phlebotomy skills.
