Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities



Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse environments such as hospitals, clinics, assisted living facilities, and community care settings. Conduct thorough patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, performing physical examinations, and evaluating physiological responses to treatment. Administer medications accurately via injections, IV infusions, catheterizations, and other methods while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Manage complex medical procedures including suturing, tube feeding, ventilator management, dialysis support, and wound care. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for precise documentation of patient information, medical records, and care plans. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies for patients with chronic conditions or developmental disabilities. Perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and basic diagnostic assessments like sonography or radiology when applicable. Engage in triage activities in urgent care or emergency room settings to prioritize patient needs efficiently. Support infection control protocols and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics such as pain management, nutrition, medication administration, and disease prevention. Demonstrate proficiency in handling diverse cases including acute pain management, behavioral health challenges like dementia or Alzheimer's care, hospice & palliative medicine needs, and trauma medicine at Level I or Level II trauma centers. Maintain a safe environment by practicing proper sterile processing techniques and adhering to infection control standards during all procedures.

Skills



Proven experience with Epic EMR systems or similar EHR platforms such as eClinicalWorks. Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes. Skilled in advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion/venipuncture, catheter care/catheterization techniques, phlebotomy, and sterile processing. Expertise in managing patients with complex needs such as those requiring ICU or PICU level care; experience in emergency medicine or critical care transport is highly valued. Familiarity with specialized treatments like botulinum toxin therapy for neurological conditions or esthetic laser treatments is a plus. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children (neonatal ventilator management), seniors (geriatrics), individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs. Competence in performing physical examinations, vital sign assessment, airway management including ventilator support, and basic life support certification. Knowledge of healthcare regulations including Workers' Compensation law and NCQA standards for quality assurance. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration within fast-paced environments such as hospitals or outpatient clinics. Experience working within hospital settings such as trauma centers--Level I & II--and outpatient clinics specializing in primary care or urgent care services.
