Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, support patients in their recovery journey, and promote mental health awareness within the community.

Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate patients' mental health needs through comprehensive interviews and observations. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, fostering a therapeutic environment. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance care delivery. Educate patients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices within the clinical setting.

Requirements

Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with a valid NMC pin Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership skills when necessary. Empathetic, resilient, and committed to patient-centred care Experience in mental health settings (desirable but not essential - newly qualified nurses welcome) Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Excellent clinical decision-making skills
