Storth is looking to recruit a Robot Welder Operative. Main responsibilities will be to set-up and operate the robotic welder to produce welded parts for our slurry equipment.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team, be able to follow drawings and jigs to a precise & timely manner, reporting any discrepancies to the correct department manager.
Apply welding knowledge and use computer-based software to operate the robotic machine.
Set up and adjust welding robot and related machinery for optimal performance and welding quality.
Review program specifications or drawings to determine and set machine operations and sequencing.
Monitor machine operation and control panel display and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.
Organise and sort steel profiles ready to be loaded.
Load and unload material manually or with the crane, depending on weight and size.
Quality control - ensure parts are correctly welded by robot.
Carry out day to day maintenance checks of an automated robot welder.
Skills:
Manual handling & lifting.
Being able to use own initiative.
Capable and proficient in the use of hand tools.
Welding experience an advantage but not essential.
In-house training will be provided in order to operate the robot welder.
Hours Of Work:
Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 17.30
Friday 8:00 - 15:00
Overtime is available and paid at time and a half
