This role offers a unique blend of technical challenge, professional growth, and the opportunity to make a real-world impact.PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT SPONSORSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE, SO PLEASE DON'T APPLY IF YOU REQUIRE SPONSORSHIP NOW, OR AFTER POST STUDY.This would be a great opportunity for a Junior or Graduate Robotics Engineer who is looking for their first role, or for an experienced Robotics Engineer who has some work based experience and would like to work for a leading agricultural business.This is working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday (with an early afternoon finish on a Friday), and the role comes with an annual salary between xc2xa340,000 - xc2xa360,000 per annum (DOE), the hiring manager is looking for someone who will be based in the office 5 days per week, there is an opportunity to work from home 1 day per week every 2 weeks, and a relocation package can be offered for someone who lives more than 2 hours away from Shropshire and is prepared to move to the area.The hiring manager is looking for someone who has experience with ROS2 or ROS, as well as someone who is proficient in programming languages such as C++ or Python, someome who has previously worked as a Robotics Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer or Software Engineer who has experience with ROS, ROS2, C++ or Python would be well received.We are looking for someone who holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering or a related field.What You Will Do:

• Integrate autonomous navigation solutions using the ROS2 Navigation Stack, enhancing robotic perception, planning, and control.
• Develop and implement 3D mapping algorithms to create accurate, real-time maps of outdoor environments.
• Utilize semantic mapping to improve robot interaction and task execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust system integration solutions.
• Lead projects from concept to deployment, ensuring successful delivery within timelines.
• Engage in agile development processes, applying rigorous V&V processes to ensure product quality.

What You Will Bring:

• Proficiency in the ROS2 Navigation Stack and related tools.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software/Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience with ROS2, including package development and system integration.
• Experience in agile development methodologies and V&V processes.
