Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Slate Tile Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in various techniques related to slate tile installation. This role involves working on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to design specifications.

Abilities

Interpret and work from schematics and blueprints to determine layout and design specifications for tile installation. Prepare surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, levelling, and applying adhesives as necessary. Cut tiles to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces using hand tools and power tools. Install Slate tiles on floors on roof with precision, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Perform masonry work as required, including grouting and sealing tiles for durability. Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters and plumbers, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Assist with heavy lifting of materials as needed throughout the installation process.

Skills

Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints related to slate tile installation projects. Experience with welding techniques is advantageous for certain installations. Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction settings. Background in construction practices, particularly in roofing or masonry, is preferred. Ability to perform fabrication tasks as required for custom installations. Competence in carpentry skills for precise fitting of tiles around fixtures. Capability to handle heavy lifting of materials safely during installations.
