Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal and preferred candidate will have a strong background in construction and experience with various materials and techniques used in tile installation. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine layout and installation requirements. Prepare surfaces for tile application by cleaning, smoothing, or applying adhesives as necessary. Cut tiles using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precise measurements for a perfect fit. Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces, ensuring alignment and proper spacing. Perform masonry tasks as needed to support tile installation projects. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and plumbers, to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets industry standards and client specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in tile setting or a related construction field. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Strong understanding of masonry techniques and materials. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations. Familiarity with roofing practices is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of plumbing may be beneficial for certain projects. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team setting.
