Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roof tiler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in slate, tile, fascia, soffit and guttering and possess a strong understanding of building materials and techniques. This role involves working on various roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards. The Roofer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs, contributing to the overall integrity and durability of structures.

A company van will be supplied but the candidate must have own tools.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems, including tiles, and slate, according to specifications and schematics. Repair and replace damaged roofing materials while ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing. Conduct inspections to assess the condition of roofs and identify necessary repairs or maintenance. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete roofing tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation or removal of roofing materials. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and masons, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Ability to operate various power tools safely, including drills, saws, and nail guns. Competence in performing heavy lifting tasks associated with roofing materials. Strong understanding of roof construction methods and materials used in the industry. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Good physical stamina and the ability to work at heights safely.
