We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in various techniques related to tile installation. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read schematics, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. The Tile Setter will work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial spaces, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas using hand tools and power tools. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives. Lay tiles according to design specifications and patterns, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Grout and finish tile installations, ensuring a clean and professional appearance. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and plumbers, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation process. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation and make necessary adjustments.

Experience

Proven experience in tile setting or related construction fields is essential. Familiarity with schematics and the ability to interpret technical drawings is required. Experience with masonry, roofing, welding, fabrication, carpentry, and plumbing is advantageous. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively is necessary. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly as part of the job duties.
