We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires physical stamina and the capability to perform heavy lifting while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The Roofer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of roofs, contributing to the overall integrity of buildings.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles. Work with hand tools and power tools to fabricate and build roofing structures according to specifications. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation and adherence to design plans. Perform heavy lifting as required when handling roofing materials and equipment. Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or areas needing repair. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or a related field such as carpentry or masonry is preferred. Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely. Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction techniques. Capability to plumb structures accurately during installation processes. Excellent physical fitness with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
