We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with roofing projects and general labour tasks on-site. Responsibilities
Assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
Reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings related to roofing and construction tasks
Operating welding equipment where necessary for fabrication or repair purposes
Handling heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, metal sheets, and other roofing components
Using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials
Supporting carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other trades as required on-site
Ensuring work areas are kept clean and organised to promote safety and efficiency
Following health and safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
Assisting in the preparation of surfaces and materials prior to installation or repair work
Experience
Prior experience in construction or roofing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Familiarity with schematics, welding techniques, hand tools, power tools, fabrication processes, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or roofing will be considered a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during demanding physical tasks
Willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
Good teamwork ethic with strong attention to safety standards
