This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled

Roofer

to join a forwardthinking renewable energy company and play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and inspecting roofing systems that support our solar panel installations.

As part of the role, you will be

paired with one of our Electricians

, attending customer sites together to deliver high quality installation and service work. Due to the nature of the travel routes and daily coordination, applicants

must be based in South London or the surrounding areas

to ensure efficient travel between customer appointments.

Must have own tools and a full UK Driving Licence to be considered for this position

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and inspections of roofs with solar panel installations Identify and repair roofing issues including leaks, structural damage, and general wear Assist with the integration and secure mounting of solar panels onto roofing systems Ensure compliance with all industry standards and safety regulations Communicate effectively with customers while on-site Provide professional advice on roofing maintenance and potential upgrades Maintain accurate records of work completed and prepare detailed reports Collaborate with engineering and installation teams to improve processes
You'll also stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant certifications in solar PV and battery installations to ensure our projects meet the highest standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in roofing or related field Proven experience as a roofer--experience in the solar/renewable sector (desirable) Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and repair techniques Additional certifications in solar technology or renewable energy (desirable) Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong adherence to health & safety standards Must have own tools Must hold a full UK driving licence
