We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofing Contractor to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in roofing installation, repair, and maintenance, along with a strong background in various construction disciplines. This role involves working on residential, commercial, and industrial roofing projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards. The Roofing Contractor will oversee project execution from start to finish, coordinate with team members, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute roofing installation, repair, and maintenance projects across diverse building types.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project scope and materials needed.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as caulking guns, tile cutters, welding tools, and fabrication machinery to complete tasks efficiently.
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate project progress.
Conduct site inspections to assess conditions and identify potential safety hazards or structural issues.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure project specifications are met within scheduled timelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Estimate material quantities and labor requirements for roofing projects using construction estimating techniques.
Oversee subcontractors or additional crew members when necessary to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Experience
Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or related construction fields such as carpentry, masonry, or remodeling.
Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and schematic diagrams.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, metal stud framing, framing carpentry, stucco application, concrete forming, fabrication techniques, plumbing integration, tile laying, restoration work, drywall finishing including trim carpentry and caulking.
Familiarity with construction site safety practices and ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
Prior experience working on large-scale or complex projects involving metal stud framing or masonry is preferred.
Valid certification or licensing in roofing or related trades is a plus but not mandatory for all roles.
