Job Description

Assist with daily routines (mealtimes, toileting, naps). Engage children in age-appropriate play and learning activities. Ensure safeguarding and well being at all times.

Learning & Play Support



Help set up and tidy away resources, toys, and creative materials. Encourage participation in group activities, crafts, and outdoor play. Support children's social, emotional, and language development.

Environment & Safety



Maintain cleanliness and organization of the room. Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures. Report concerns promptly to the Room Leader.

Teamwork & Communication



Work collaboratively with staff to deliver the daily plan.

Qualifications



NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Care and Education

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education Or an equivalent qualification

If you do not currently hold one of these qualifications, we will provide training and support to help you achieve it.



Ability to work as part of a team and also use initiative

Good communication skills,

Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.

Previous experience working in childcare or educational settings is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities



Support the Room Leader and practitioners in the daily running of the room. Assist with planning and delivering activities that promote children's learning, play, and development. Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in line with safeguarding and health & safety standards. Engage positively with children, encouraging independence, creativity, and social skills. Work collaboratively as part of a team, while also using initiative when required. Support with routines such as mealtimes, toileting, rest periods, and transitions.
