We are seeking 3 dedicated and experienced Room Leaders to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring high standards of childcare, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. The Room Leader will play a vital part in supporting the team to deliver exceptional early childhood education and care, fostering positive relationships with children and their families.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support team members during shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations
Lead by example in delivering high-quality childcare aligned with organisational policies and standards
Coordinate activities and programmes suitable for children's developmental needs
Maintain safety protocols and ensure the environment is secure and hygienic at all times
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies regarding children's progress and any concerns
Assist in planning educational activities that promote early childhood development
Manage daily administrative tasks including record keeping, attendance, and reporting
Drive organisational initiatives to improve service delivery and staff performance
Requirements
A level 3 childcare qualification
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or nursery environments
Knowledge of child development principles and childcare regulations
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills
Experience with children's behaviour management strategies is advantageous
Organised, reliable, and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
