Room Leader - Early Years

Location: London SW12

Salary: 31,000 - 33,000 per year

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Early Years Practitioner to step into a Room Leader position at a unique and forward-thinking nursery setting. The nursery is co-located with a residential care home, offering a rich intergenerational learning environment. We provide high-quality education and care for early years children within an inclusive setting that welcomes all faiths and none.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of nursery practitioners in the pre-school classroom Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment Plan and implement age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Observe, assess, and record children's progress Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents and carers Supervise, mentor, and support staff members Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and maintain high-quality care and education
What we're looking for:

Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or equivalent) - essential Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its application Proven leadership experience within an early years setting Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills Passion for early childhood education and commitment to high-quality care Enthusiastic, motivated, and a strong team player
