Overview

Blossom Tree Children's Nursery - Gilmerton is a is a small and busy nursery, supporting 32 children 0-school age.

Blossom Tree is a long standing nursery in Edinburgh and achieved 4x Good gradings in its most recent Care Inspection. We have two sister Nurseries in Edinburgh also; Blossom Tree - Fairmilehead and Cosy Cottage Nursery School. We also work in partnership with Edinburgh Council and offer 1140 hour pre-school funded places.

Full time posts are 40 hours per week which are worked over 4 full days, part time posts would also be considered for the correct candidate.

The ideal candidate would have :

A sound knowledge in Realising the Ambition: Being me Understanding of GIRFEC, Schematic Play principles and SHANARRI, and ability to implement all Nursery Policies Excellent communication skills Room leadership skills The ability to lead and work as part of a team as well as use their own initiative Have a understanding of the many benefits of outdoor play and schematic play. Be reliable and friendly.
The successful candidate will be motivated, professional and passionate about working with and supporting our children and families.

You will be responsible for creating stimulating learning experiences, which allow children to grow and learn in a nurturing and caring environment.

Candidates should meet the below criteria...

HNC in Childcare and Education (or Level 3 equivalent)
The nursery also offers pension contributions, social events paid for, additional 'Birthday Day Off' and the nursery is closed over Christmas and New Year.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 27,560.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
