Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader or Level 3 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess strong leadership skills. As a Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and supporting staff in their professional development. This position requires effective communication and the ability to drive a positive atmosphere within the nursery.

Duties

Oversee daily operations of the nursery during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage and support staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed to foster a collaborative team environment. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Implement early childhood education programmes that promote the development of children's skills and knowledge. Drive initiatives to enhance the quality of childcare services provided, ensuring that all activities are engaging and age-appropriate. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant documentation as required by regulatory bodies. Facilitate training sessions for staff to enhance their skills in childcare practices and leadership.

Requirements

Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing teams or projects. A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development through engaging activities. Ability to drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency within the nursery environment. Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are highly desirable but not mandatory.
