About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Royalty Accountant to join our Royalties team within a dynamic TV production environment. This role is central to ensuring accurate and timely royalty reporting and payments to broadcasters, talent, and third-party participants. You'll work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to interpret contracts, manage royalty data, and ensure compliance with industry agreements. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for media finance and a strong understanding of IP and content exploitation.
Duties
Royalty Calculation and ReportingProcess and calculate royalty payments in line with contracts for broadcasters, talent, and third parties across multiple revenue streams Maintain a central database of agreements, revenue shares, and royalty schedules. Manage and update the title roster, with focus on key series Generate and issue royalty statements Support the royalty cash forecast process and coordinate with Treasury and Commercial teams Providing ad hoc royalty analysis as required

Contract & ComplianceInterpret complex rights agreements and royalty clauses Ensure compliance with industry bodies such as Equity, and PACT agreements Liaise with Legal and Business Affairs to resolve queries

Stakeholder CommunicationCommunicate with internal and external stakeholders on royalty matters Respond to queries from rights holders and talent representatives in a professional and timely manner Support audit processes with relevant royalty documentation

Knowledge & SkillsProven experience in royalties; TV industry experience preferred. Strong understanding of high-volume royalty pay-aways, contract analysis, and industry royalty practices Process-driven mindset with a positive attitude toward change and continuous improvement High attention to detail and strong numerical skills Confident, proactive team player with ability to work independently Advanced Excel skills essential
